Absurd or is it?

When I feel blue, I ask, “How do you want me to be?”

A gentle voice whispers, “Mommy, I want you to be happy.”

I raise my head and walk away from the cold winter.

When I am with my dark thoughts, I ask, “How do you want me to be?”

A gentle voice whispers, “ Mommy, be gentle. It will get better. I am watching you.”

I look up and see you through the clouds in a spring sky.

When I am fearful, I ask, “How do you want me to be?”

A gentle voice whispers, “Mommy, be patient. You will know when the time is right.”

I rise up and shake off the crippling clown off my harboring shoulders. I feel the warmth of summer.

When I breath in fresh air, smell a flower, for the first time in a long time, I ask again, “How do you want me be?”

A gentle voice whispers, “Mommy, this is how I wanted for you.”

I smile, with tears in my eyes. The golden autumn has arrived.
